PeopleSoft Founder Dave Duffield Announces New Venture: Accepts Chairmans Award at IHRIM 25th Anniversary Conference

While attending IHRIMs 25th Anniversary Conference to receive the 2005 Chairmans Award, Dave Duffield, founder and driving force behind the successful PeopleSoft Corporation, announced that he is starting a new business venture.

Reno, NV (HRmarketer/PRWEB ) May 7, 2005 --Dave Duffield, founder of PeopleSoft, Integral Systems and Information Associates was presented the IHRIM 2005 Chairmans Award on Monday, May 2nd at IHRIMs 25th Annual Conference in Reno, Nevada. The Chairmans Award is presented to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the general field of human resource information management. While attending the conference, Mr. Duffield talked with David Salyers, IHRIM.link magazine committee chair, and co-chair Karen Ericson about his plans for a new business venture.

Its a very bold approach - it may not work, but it is exciting to try."

Mr. Duffield founded PeopleSoft, Inc. in 1987 and went on to serve as the companys CEO and board chairman where he offered significant technical and functional contributions to the development of business software. He was the driving force behind the companys vision, product, market direction, and commitment to customer service. In addition, he inspired the companys unique culture by promoting core values that focused on people, innovation, integrity and fun. PeopleSoft grew to be the second-largest application software company in the world before being acquired by Oracle early this year.
