The Cagewarriors Fighting Championships Announce Partnership With Warrior Promotions To Promote Their Strike Force" Ultimate Fighting Brand In Coventry On May 21st

Coventry will hold its first Cage Fighting event on the 21st May, as the Cagewarriors Fighting Championships in association with Coventry based Warrior Promotions" present a night of international cage fighting which features local fight legend Barrington Patterson in the main event in his retirement bout.

(PRWEB) May 8, 2005 -- Saturday 21st May will see the biggest Ultimate Fighting event held in the UK, as Cagewarriors Strike Force hits the 4000 seater capacity Coventry Skydome with an 11 bout fight card filled with top international action.

Cage Fighting also known as Ultimate Fighting or Mixed Martial Arts has taken the UK by storm since it crossed the Atlantic in 2002 and combines aspects from many different martial arts. Competitors are often skilled in boxing, wrestling; kickboxing, jiu-jitsu and more. This makes for an innovative and exciting event in which spectators are guaranteed a varied range of action from huge KOs to lightening fast submissions and slams which will have fans on the edge of their seats.

Now Ultimate Fighting makes its debut in Coventry thanks to local businessmen Dean Griffiths, Andy Lillis and Jason Dimmock who formed Warrior Promotions" and teamed up with Cagewarriors in order to bring this exciting to new sport to their home town of Coventry.

Warrior Promotions have also struck another first as Strike Force" will feature local star Barrington Patterson in the main event. This will not only be Pattersons first Ultimate Fighting bout in the UK, but will also be his retirement fight. This show also features a UK vs. France series, as fans in attendance will see if a UK squadron can repel a French invasion in an 11 bout card inside the spectacular Skydome.

Due to the popularity and hype surrounding this event and the local connections of Warrior Promotions, all 67 VIP Tables and other VIP seating has been sold. As a result another date has already been announced for the 16th July, as Cagewarriors and Warrior Promotions look to build on the growing popularity of this new fight phenomenon by establishing a tight local base in the midlands.
