Attorney Alvaro Aguilar was appointed as Co-Chair of the Panama Chapter of the NYSBA International Law & Practice Section
(PRWEB) May 8, 2005 -- Attorney Alvaro Aguilar was appointed as Co-Chair of the Panama Chapter of the New York State Bar Association`s International Law & Practice Section.
The International Law and Practice Section (ILPS) provides attorneys the opportunity to meet with U.S. and foreign colleagues who share common interests in international law as well as the applicability of New York State law to international transactions. The ILPS currently has more than 30 substantive committees organized by legal specialty and chapters in many foreign cities.
The ILPS held their Fall Meeting in Santiago de Chile, where Mr. Aguilar previously gave a presentation on "Securitization: An Increasing and Safe Financing Technique in Emerging Markets", along with attorneys from business law firms from Argentina and Chile, for an audience of attorneys from the U.S. and Latin America. The presentation included a summary of several structures used by U.S. companies to raise capital through Panama trusts and special purpose vehicles for operations in Latin America and for the expansion of the Panama Canal.
Mr. Aguilar specializes in asset protection, corporation law, tax law, intellectual property and other Business Law matters.
