E-Muscle Holds First Show Car Event of Its Kind in Connecticut

Connecticut's newest restoration facility holds it's First Annual Muscle Car Expo and Car Show to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Middlefield, CT (PRWEB) May 14, 2005 -- Featuring Connecticuts newest classic car restoration facility, E-Muscle LLC has opened its doors to the public for their official grand opening, and the first annual muscle car expo and car show Saturday May 14th.

The purpose of the event is to bring together Connecticut classic car enthusiasts, along with over fifteen muscle and classic car parts/service vendors for an informative day of cars, information, entertainment, and the ability to tour a brand new restoration center. The event will be held in the large field adjacent to the E-Muscle facility.

Most grand openings are the same old ribbon cutting ceremony," says E-Muscle owner Brian Chaffee,"I wanted to have something that really involves the community, and benefits a good cause." Local and national auto related companies such as PPG and Advanced Auto, have sponsored the event with proceeds benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Connecticut Council of Car clubs. There will be opportunities for the public to make additional donations.

Middlefield First Selectman, Charles Augur, will be present for the facility ribbon cutting ceremony, and trophies will be awarded to the top ten show cars by Miss Teen Connecticut Candidate Amanda Aresco. Connecticut race car driver Rodney Bitgood, (owner of Cromwell Automotive) will officially unveil his 1969 Camaro Drag Car that was painted and refurbished by E-Muscle in 30 days. This car will be raced throughout New England in the 10.5" tire class.

Music and entertainment will be provided by Greg Smith and The Broken English, as well as The River 105.9. There will be free giveaways, and raffles. Food, popcorn, and drinks will also be available and have been provided courtesy of Happy Days Vending & Rentals.

Roughly 200 cars and 1,000 people are expected. The event goes from 10am -- 4pm, and the public is invited to bring their muscle and classic cars. Entrance to the event is free. The rain date for the event is Saturday May 21st.
