LA Femme Film Festival Announces Films Selected to Premiere for the May 27-29 Festival

LA Femme Film Festival announced today its list of the films selected to premiere for the first year of this ground-breaking film festival premiering at the Los Angeles Center Studios in downtown Los Angeles on May 27- 29, 2005. The 32 feature films, shorts, music videos, commercials and PSAs were selected from nearly 1000 entries received this year. The winning films were selected for their unique voices. The filmmakers of these films were able to present a world we all know from a different perspective as well entertain and educate.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 11, 2005 -- Winner of the Freedom of Expression Award" at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival, The Decline of Western Civilization Part III, directed by Penelope Spheeris, has been selected for a special screening on May 29th at 6:00 PM with a question and answer session with the director immediately following the screening. Swing, written by Mary Keil and directed by Martin Guigui with a cast that features Jonathan Winters, Jacqueline Bisset, Tom Skerritt, and Nell Carter will also be featured during a special screening on May 28th at 6:00 PM. Hooligans, written and directed by Lexi Alexander with a cast featuring Elijah Wood, Claire Forlani, Marc Warren, Charlie Hunnam and Leo Gregory will screen at the festival on May 28th, at 8:00 PM. The following is a list of the selected feature films:

• The Colt -- Directed by Yelena Lanskaya - May 28th, at 4:00 -- 6:00 PM
• Daughters of Everest -- Director/Producer/Writer Sapana Sakya - May 29th, at 10:00 AM -- 12:00 PM
• Goldirocks -- Director/Producer/Writer Paula Tiberius - May 29th, at 2:00 -- 4:00 PM
• Manfast -- Director/Writer Tara Judelle - May 29th, at 4:00 -- 6:00 PM
• Mission Movie -- Director/Producer Lise Swenson - May 28th, at 2:00 -- 4:00 PM
• Mr. Right -- Director/Writer Dree Andrea - May 28th, at 10:00 AM -- 12:00 PM
• Private Property - Director/Producer/Writer Elizabeth Dimon - May 29th, at 12:00 PM -- 2:00 PM
