California Blues Announces the 23rd Annual Topanga Blues Festivall
The Southern California Blues Society is proud to present the 23rd Annual Blues Festival in Topanga California. www.socalblues.org
(PRWEB) May 15, 2005 -- This year's festival shall be our way of honoring musicians who either live in Los Angeles or have contributed greatly to the city's blues heritage. The proceeds of the festival will benefit The Artist Assistance Fund, which was created by the SCBS to assist blues musicians in time of need.
Scheduled Performers: Donnie V, unplugged, Aunt Kizzy's Boyz, San Diego's "Sweetheart" of the Blues Lady Star and her Bustin' Loose Blues Band, and The Central Avenue R&B Band along with the LA Legends Revue featuring Deacon Jones, Finis Tasby, Hollis Gilmore, Johnny Dyer, Melvin Eddy and Miss Mickey Champion.
Invited guests include Marie Dixon and Blues Heaven, Tina Mayfield, Billy Diamond, and Ed "The Geezer" Archer. The Topanga Blues Festival will be held from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, June 18th at The Will Geer Theatricum Botanica located at 1419 Topanga Blvd., in Topanga, CA. BBQ by Smokin' Steve will be available to purchase along with a vegetarian menu, wine and beer.
General Admission is $20.00 at the gate, $18.00 in advance. SCBS members and musicians with valid ID receive discount at the gate. Children 12 and under are admitted free.
