Mark Freedman, Executive Producer of the TV show and President of Surge, exclusive worldwide licensor of Tred Barta, said, “The Rampage license is the first we know of in the sport fishing yacht business. The Barta Canyon Edition yacht will be outfitted to Tred’s demanding blue water specs.”

Tred Barta, the hard driving world class outdoorsman whose in-your-face style is the talk of the hunting and fishing communities, holds blue water fishing world records and hunts big game with bow and arrow. He voice of big game blue water fishing, he is also a prolific outdoor sports writer and advocate of “doing it the hard way” in facing big game challenges. His exploits at sea facing marlin or blue eyed tuna, and in mountains facing big game with bow and arrow, are legendary.

Freedman said, “In its second season, the show has outperformed all competition and is OLN’s top rated new outdoor series. The show is gaining strong audience word-of-mouth as shown by a 66% increase in men 18 to 34 and 35% gain in men 18 to 49 in the final weeks of its first season. Tred Barta shows the passion behind the good, the bad and the ugly of no-holds-barred fishing and hunting entertainment.”

He added, “The licensing potential of Tred Barta obviously includes fishing and hunting equipment but also ranges to the key sectors of clothing, electronics, games, publishing and the full spectrum of licensing categories that want to associate with a dynamic, strong and opinionated sportsman who stands for integrity and hard work as applied to outdoor sports.”

Freedman said, “Tred’s TV show is the first of its type offering the most demanding outdoor entertainment and the format is a hit as the OLN show climbed to the number one spot on the network’s ratings list. The New York Times profiled him, sporting publications follow him, and there is a growing media interest bringing Tred Barta to sports enthusiasts across the nation.”

Freedman said, “Rampage is known the offshore authority, manufacturing the ultimate sports fishing boat, capable of blue water adventures 100 miles offshore in trying ocean conditions. With the Tred Barta Edition sport fishing yachts they will open tremendous opportunity for sport fisherman.”

Barta said, “The Rampage Tred Barta Edition sports fishing yacht will have speed, long range capability and be able to meet the rigors of blue water fishing, where conditions a hundred of miles offshore can be unpredictable and dangerous. I do it hard way, the Barta way. Do the work, prepare hard, be fair and don’t give up. Every fish or game you take is a trophy, no matter its size, if you do the work.”

Viewers respond to Tred Barta and his name recognition is skyrocketing among fans of big game hunting and fishing. Barta said, “I put my life and expertise on the line in every show.” The second season, which began May 6th, has Tred fishing giant bluefin tuna off North Carolina, wild sea ducks with a long bow off New York’s Long Island, hunting a grizzly bear with longbow and facing down a wild hog with wooden arrows in a face to face encounter in Colorado.
