Dave Bennett is an Indianapolis jazz guitarist with a local legend reputation among midwest musicians, having performed and recorded with what many call the most popular local rock band to ever come out of Indiana, Carl Storie and The Faith Band. Dave has shared stage with many greats such as The Who, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Hall & Oates, Peter Frampton, and many more musical greats.

The Dave Bennett Band will be performing and promoting their latest masterpiece, 'Out of the Bleu.' The CD features eleven instrumentals, exploring many of Dave's musical influences. In 2003, Dave drafted some old friends such as John Cooper (currently Bruce Springsteen's sound engineer), Dane Clark & Jon E Gee from John Mellencamp's band, former Faith Band member Dave Barnes, as well as additional talented musicians, and began working on the CD. The end result is the listener's reward.

Dave leads the listener on colorful and emotional improvisational journeys, causing us to conclude that his music cannot be packaged and labeled simply as jazz, blues, rock or pop. Only once in awhile does a musician come along who speaks with his own unique voice. Dave Bennett certainly falls into this category.

The current line-up of the Dave Bennett Band is Dave on guitar, Brent Murphy on additional guitar, Marty Weaver on keys, Dan Jones on drums, Dave Hampton on percussion, and Mark Bertram on bass.
