Tampa Dog Trainer Offers Free Socialization and Group Training Course

Tampa, Fla. - Dog owners across the Tampa Bay region are taking advantage of Canine Campers, a free community service courtesy of local certified dog trainer Helene Scott, founder of the Florida Dog Training School of Tampa.

(PRWEB) May 15, 2005 -- Canine Campers features a free dog training lesson and canine socialization class and meets every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lake Park just off Dale Mabry in Lutz, Fla. Dog owners must make reservations to attend the free class, which has seen an overwhelming response. Dogs of all ages and breeds may attend the session, where pooches are encouraged to socialize, learn and have fun. Socialization is the key to a happy and secure dog, according to Scott, who recently moved her popular business from New Jersey to Florida. "It goes beyond training for me," said Scott, 37. "My relationship down the road with the dog never ends."

The Florida Dog Training School of Tampa's motto, "We Can Train Any Dog," certainly rings true for Scott, who is comfortable training even the most aggressive dogs other trainers won't touch. The backbone of her business, which offers an initial free evaluation, is Basic Obedience, designed to produce a well-trained house dog. Scott will drive directly to a dog owner's home and work with family members to develop a customized dog training plan. "Every dog is different and I customize lessons based on a client's needs," she said. "I'm not stuck on using one certain method."

Scott has an inspiring story to tell. After being laid off from her desk job back in New Jersey, she took a risk and attended dog training classes at the Academy of Canine Education in New York under the tutelage of Master Dog Trainer Anthony Jerone. "I've always been a dog person, but I never thought I'd make a business out of it," she said. "I take a lot of pride and care in what I do. It's great because I have the opportunity to have connections with other people." Potential clients are encouraged to visit www.fl-k9.com to learn more about the variety of dog training programs she offers.
