Long Beach, CA (PRWEB) May 15, 2005 -- Over The Tavern is a funny and heartwarming play that deals with a Polish-American family growing up in 1959 working class Buffalo, New York. Four children caught between the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and their emotionally distant father Chet (John Richard Petersen). Only their mother Ellen (Karen Bukolt), with her good sense, sanity and wry humor, keeps this family afloat. At the center of the family is 12-year-old Rudy (Adam J. Levy) a rebel and Ed Sullivan impersonator who goes knuckle to ruler with his formidable teacher Sister Clarissa (Rosina Pinchot) questioning everything and claiming that God put us on earth to have fun. Only weeks away from his confirmation, Rudy proclaims, I read where there are over thirteen hundred religions in the world. I'd like to shop around" sending his family into comical chaos. You will love the Pazinski family as they try to make ends meet and deal with human nature, desperate to be the perfect Catholic family, in their home over the tavern.

The cast includes Adam J. Levy of Cypress, Karen Bukolt of Long Beach, John Richard Petersen of Aliso Viejo, Graham Miller of Manhattan Beach, Kevin B. Stark of Lakewood, Lauren Mitchell and Matthew Hutcherson of Costa Mesa and Rosina Pinchot of South Pasadena.
