CD compilations of favorite songs featured on three popular soap operas - songs not otherwise available - are being made available to the public for the first time. Fans can hear excerpts and order CDs at www.soapsongs.com.

(PRWEB) May 15, 2005 -- Barbara Jordan, head of A&R of the new specialty label Songs Of The Soaps, announced today the release of the first three titles on the label: Favorite Songs Heard On The Young And The Restless, Favorite Songs Heard On All My Children and Favorite Songs Heard On One Life To Live.

Each recording features 12 of the most-requested songs heard on these shows in the last several years. Initially, the CDs will be available exclusively on SoapSongs.Com, a new web site set up specifically to give soap fans the opportunity to listen to samples of their favorite songs and purchase their own copies of the full recordings.

We have wanted to do this for the fans -- and the shows -- for a long time," Jordan said. The best original songs are not owned by the shows and are almost impossible for fans to find. In announcing the launch of the label Songs Of The Soaps and the web site SoapSongs.Com, Jordan pointed out that her company is addressing an unsatisfied desire of the large and devoted soap audiences: the desire to acquire for themselves many of the songs they have come to associate with their favorite characters and scenes on the shows.
