The Third Annual Harrington Family Foundation Benefit Concert Kicks Off June 23, 2005 with Headliner Donavon Frankenreiter

Joey Harrington, NFL Detroit Lions quarterback, announces the Third Annual Harrington Family Foundation Benefit Concert featuring Donavon Frankenreiter, very special guest stars John Popper and Chan Kinchla of Blues Traveler and Lava Records/Starbucks recording artist Antigone Rising.

(PRWEB) May 21, 2005 -- Following last years highly successful charity event, Joey Harrington, NFL Detroit Lions quarterback, has announced the Third Annual Harrington Family Foundation Benefit Concert. The event, featuring contemporary artist Donovan Frankenreiter, will be held on June 23, 2005. Doors open at 6:00pm.

This much anticipated show is set for the outdoor locale of Portlands Rose Quarter Commons. Produced by Portland-based TAOW Productions, the rain or shine event will benefit Shriners Hospital for Children, Portland and the Harrington Family Foundation.

Headliner Donavon Frankenreiter has garnered an international reputation for his easy going, fun loving musical style. His newest release, on Jack Johnsons Brushfire Records, is receiving national radio airplay and heavy MTV rotation. As a special treat, accomplished pianist Joey Harrington will join Blues Travelers John Popper and Chan Kinchla in a jam with the band. Opening will be Lava recording artist Antigone Rising, whose debut album From the Ground Up" is in Starbucks stores now.

"This is a tremendous opportunity to play with some terrific artists, while also giving back to the community that has been so supportive of me and my family," says Harrington, former Oregon Duck quarterback. The success of last years event exceeded our projected revenue goals by raising over $30,000 for Shriners. For 2005, we have set our sights higher and we really need your support to help make this years event an even greater success!"

Sponsored by Fred Meyer, Starbucks Coffee Company, Widmer Brothers, KINK FM 102, blackfish creative, the Detroit Lions, McCormick and Schmicks, Nike, Directors Mortgage, U of O Alumni Association, Nautilus and more local sponsors, 100% of all of the proceeds will go to benefit childrens charities.

Due to limited seating and last years sell-out crowd, advance tickets are highly recommended. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 the day of show. Tickets will be available at all Ticketmaster locations, select Fred Meyer stores, or on the web at www.ticketmaster.com. For more info on the show, go to www.hffbenefitconcert.com.
