Former Prominent GE Capital Executive and Six Sigma Expert Joins Argeas Expanding Outsourcing Advisory Practice

Sid Milstein brings global BPO expertise to increase reach and depth of growing outsourcing consulting practice

Princeton, NJ, (PRWEB) May 19, 2005 -- Argea announced announced that Sid Milstein has joined its growing outsourcing consultancy and will serve as Executive Vice President of Offshore Outsourcing Services for the company.

An experienced senior executive, Milstein brings a distinguished background in global processing, Six Sigma best practices, outsourcing, operations and finance to Argeas team of highly experienced BPO practitioners.

During his thirty years with GE and GE Capital, Milstein amassed considerable experience in initiating, leading, and driving dramatic productivity improvements in back office operations, offshore processing, and customer service operations which significantly increased core growth in financial services and manufacturing.

Ram Iyer, Founder & CEO of Argea said, Our approach to advising and guiding clients is practitioner-based. Our advisors are drawn from companies that actually use outsourcing and have done it successfully. Sid brings deep experience and process rigor from GE, a pioneer in offshore outsourcing. More companies will have greater successful outsourcing projects if they leveraged experienced practitioners like Sid. I am delighted to have Sid joining the Argea team."

He was one of the early pioneers in developing GEs offshore processing capability in India and Mexico, serving as President of GE Capitals Global Processing Services from 1997 to 2001. During that period, more than 8,500 positions were migrated offshore, with annual after-tax savings in excess of $150 million.

Most recently, he has served as leader of GE Capitals Corporate Global Corporate Initiatives and Six Sigma Quality, developing and implementing the companys strategic plan for sourcing and supply chain management across 25 global businesses, with more than $5 billion in annual outlays.

Sid is a Certified Six Sigma Quality Leader and served as the Senior VP of Six Sigma Quality at GE Technology Management Services, a $500 million information technology services company. He played a leading role in implementing six sigma quality in GEs operations throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia. In addition, he led GEs Computer Services field operations and spearheaded several initiatives in acquisition integration, business turnarounds, and profit & loss management.

Competitive pressures will only increase the pace of global processing. Successful companies will need not only to identify and implement strategies that ensure an effective outsourcing process, but also strategies that provide proven quality and control processes," said Milstein. Many companies may be considering or implementing offshoring", but not as many are doing it right, and gaining the full benefits," he added.

Mr. Milstein, a graduate of GEs Financial Management Program, received a BA Degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. He resides in Atlanta.
