An Online Business Makes a Good Mother’s Day Gift

A retiring mother received a unique gift from her son. He launched a new online store to sell her handmade scarves.

Inventric LLC launched a new online clothing store. Located at http://www.scarvesbydavidchad.com, the online retailer sells handmade scarves created by the founder’s soon to be retiring mother, Rita Kontny. The store was a Mother’s Day gift.

"My mother is constantly dreaming of turning her hobbies into successful businesses," said Nathan Kontny, Inventric LLC’s founder. "She doesn’t have any experience with creating websites. I thought creating an online store to sell her scarves would make a perfect Mother’s Day gift. Hopefully it also creates a new income stream for her during retirement."

Rita Kontny is planning on joining the growing ranks of retirees who are becoming entrepreneurs. Living healthier and longer, retirees are using their new free time for additional income and intellectual stimulation.

"I am excited to spend my last year, before retirement, seeing this dream come true," said Rita. "This is an ideal place to start a business, and the best gift I could have received from Nathan."

As Nathan explains, "I’ve been looking for a partner in a joint venture for awhile. I can’t believe how long it took to dawn on me that my mother would be perfect. She has so much energy and passion for her side projects. And I’m sure there will be no stopping her creativity when she has another 8-9 hours free each day."

Sounds like a case of "like mother, like son".
