Schneider Optics names Dwight Lindsey Cheif Executive Officer
Schneider Optics, Inc., the well-known lens and professional filter manufacturer, has announced the promotion of Dwight Lindsey to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Schneider Optics is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Germanys Schneider Kreuznach, and is North Americas exclusive distributor of Schneider lenses and B+W camera filters.
Hauppauge, NY (PRWEB) May 23, 2005 -- Schneider Optics, Inc., the well-known lens and professional filter manufacturer, has announced the promotion of Dwight Lindsey to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Schneider Optics is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Germanys Schneider Kreuznach, and is North Americas exclusive distributor of Schneider lenses and B+W camera filters.
Mr. Lindsey has been with Schneider Optics since 1979, when he joined the company as a product specialist. He was promoted to Vice President in 1981, and to Senior Vice President in 1988. He serves as the President of the International Theater Equipment Association (ITEA), and is a member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), as well as The Moving Image Society (BKSTS). Mr. Lindsey is a renowned cinema technology expert, and has authored numerous papers and articles on the subject.
After receiving a Bachelors Degree in Communications, Mr. Lindseys graduate studies in photography at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) led him to an avocation as a large format photographer, and helped prepare him for his leadership position in the evolution of optics for digital photography.
