ASROC Alternative Payment Processing Conference to be Held June 27-28 in London

4th Annual Conference for Alternative Internet Payments will take place during finals week of Wimbledon. Speakers include the Nigerian Embassy, Visa, The Royal Bank of Scotland, British Airways, APTA/WMATA and others.

Ticonderoga Ventures, Inc. announces the 4th ASROC conference to be held on June 27-28 at the Millennium Gloucester Conference Centre in London.

ASROC is an e-commerce conference with a specific focus on alternative payment processing systems for internet related transactions. Alternative online payment systems include: prepaid debit cards, electronic gold, telephone cards, e-wallets, micropayments, credit cards, electronic check, ATM cards / cash cards, BOBO payments, ACH, and other new emerging payment systems. The delegates attending the event are internet retail executives, banking executives and online payment processors.

The goal of the ASROC conference is to create relationships that integrate traditional financial institutions and retail merchants with alternative payment systems. It will cover new and unique forms of online payment systems and will also discuss international forms of online commerce. The conference is designed to discuss reliable forms of online commerce.

The London ASROC event also takes place during finals week of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.

Speakers at this event include executives from companies, organizations and governments such as the The Royal Bank of Scotland, the Nigerian High Commission, Visa Direct, the American Public Transit Association, British Airways, NetRatings, Consult Hyperion, Mark Monitor, SEMOPS, Safe Charge Limited, InvisiPay, Eurogiro Network A/S, Osborne Clark, Thales, i4 Commerce Limited (Bill Me Later), the UC Group and others.

Two special presentations are included in this year's event. The first is from Gregory Garback, Executive Officer of Finance at the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). He also serves a leadership role within the standards committee for fare collection at the American Public Transportation Association (APTA). With the rapid growth of fare cards in the United States, APTA seeks to create standards for the municipalities for use with public transportation systems. Discussed will be the standards for alternative payment sysfor close to 10 Billion transactions. If agreed and accepted, such standards would create a market opportunity to tens of millions of Americans that use fare cards.

The second special presentation will be delivered by Dr. Christopher Kolade (the Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom), who will discuss actions that the Nigerian Government has taken to curb internet commerce fraud and other criminal activities taking place within its borders.
