Young Paleontologist to Hunt for Dinosaurs in Drumheller

Six-year-old Josiah Schultz dreams of one day becoming a paleontologist and walking with the dinosaurs". Lisa Schultz, a single mom, is trying to raise money this June so that she can make Josiahs dream come true, and take him to the Dinosaur Capital of the World"―Drumheller, Alberta.

Victoria, BC (PRWEB) May 30, 2005 -- Since the age of three, Josiah Schultz has been fascinated by dinosaurs. He can give detailed information on practically any dinosaur that ever roamed the earth.

Instead of watching Disney movies, this young paleontologist-to-be watches the BBC series Walking with Dinosaurs, Prehistoric Planet, Mega Beasts, National Geographic Dinosaur Hunters and more. Instead of reading Franklin books, he reads everything he can on dinosaurs. For play, Josiah practices paleontology by burying his dinosaurs outside. The next morning he digs them up.

For a kindergarten project, Josiah gathered 100 toy dinosaurs. He created an entire display using a piece of plywood as the base. He formed a lake out of PlayDoh and filled it with water, glued plants and bushes to the base, and used other materials to make the scene lifelike. He had the dinosaurs in specific herds, displaying their correct behavior. With his mother's help, he created a working volcano with pterodactyls circling it!

Project Drumheller" is the nickname of this fundraising event. Anyone in the Victoria area can help send young Josiah Schultz to the home of The World's Largest Dinosaur by visiting their refreshment stand where lemonade and dino cookies will be sold during the following dates:

• June 4th and 5th they'll be at the Oak Bay Tea Party (sharing the Curves booth) on Estevan Street
• Every Sunday in June at the Estevan Street Market, from noon to 4.

A company called Mindful Canada, www.mindfulcanada.com, is one of the sponsors for their trip and has posted an article on their site.
