Online Auctions For Toast, Tattoos, and now Weddings?

An engaged Maryland couple are looking to tie the knot in a unique way, by entertaining auction bids to permanently engrave advertising space on their wedding rings.

(PRWEB) June 2, 2005 -- Taking a cue from several memorable online auctions where people have auctioned off body space for advertising tattoos, clothing, vehicles, and homes, one Maryland couple is upping the ante. They have listed their wedding bands as featured advertising space for the winning bidder for life, or death do they part.

Glenn Juskiewicz and fiancée Julia Hartung have said that they wanted a unique and fun wedding, and with the growing costs involved sought out a way to both keep things interesting and inexpensive.

"This is an opportunity for us to help pay for our wedding while actually giving something back to the winner," said Glenn. "Some of the most notable auctions on EBay.com have been for advertising for a week, or thirty days. This is something we're committing to for life."

The growth of advertising auctions has grown recently thanks in part to the amount of notoriety and popularity many of them receive. Most noticeably, GoldenPalace.com has been acknowledged as being one of the crucial players in this online game.

The auction, already in progress, is being watched closely by the couple in hopes that they will soon be able to plan their dream wedding, and have a unique story to tell their children some day.
