ItsAboutMusic.com Signs Alt-Rock Singer-Songwriter Benjamin Winter
ItsAboutMusic.com, the web's first Internet-Only Music Label is pleased to announce the signing of Alt-Rock Singer-Songwriter Benjamin Winter to their roster of more than 230 great artists.
(PRWEB) June 3, 2005 -- "In a world of make-believe rock stars plopped in place by make-believe record companies who simply pretend they are doing the world a proper service, artists like Benjamin Winter stand alone in a brilliance so obvious that make-believers go blind and pretenders go deaf. Only those of us who are immune to the imitations can revel in music like this. Benjamin Winter is so intimate with the listener that, for a short time, they trade lives and souls with the listener all the better for the exchange. There's an overabundant supply of music in the world and too much of it gets in the way of music like this." - Dean Sciarra, ItsAboutMusic.com
Benjamin Winter, front man for the band Sisera Fell based out of San Diego, CA, has crossed to the platform of independent artist. Sisera Fell released three independent projects since 1998, the latest of which contained two songs ("Rise Up" and "What To Do") that garnered light-medium rotation from three major radio stations in San Diego and San Francisco.
Winter grew up near San Francisco and in 1994 went to Cal Poly in San Luis Obisbo, CA on a football scholarship and completed his education with Art and Music degrees. "I would have never gotten into a good school on studies. I only got to go to college because I could catch a football," he admits. "My band became the only career I cared to put time into after college and football was over."
Benjamin was invited in September 2003 to join a tour through the USA and Europe as a solo performer as well as musician for "Isaac Improv." This was his first tour without the band and rendered the decision to produce his first solo project. He was in Amersterdam, Holland throughout 2004 where he moved to be with his Dutch girlfriend, write and independently pre-produce his first solo effort titled "Amber Alley And After."
"Behind my garage in San Diego where I would work at night, there was a run down alley where the sky always took on an amber color because of the San Diego light and the late night fog. I would take breaks back there and think too much. Those nights started a time period that became a year on the road of touring and living in Amsterdam. These songs mark the reflections that became "Amber Alley And After. But actually more significantly...after."
