Novelist J. Everett Prewitt Signs and Discusses Exciting New Mystery Novel at the Shaker Heights Library

Everett Prewitt, a semi-finalist in the Independent Book Publishers Awards 2005 has been invited to sign and discuss his new novel dealing with racial conflict in the old South, and a search for the truth. The signing will take place at The Shaker Heights Library -- Bertram Woods Reading Garden, 20600 Fayette Road, Shaker Heights on Wednesday, June 22 at 7:00 PM.
In Prewitts book Snake Walkers," the protagonist, Anthony Andrews, a man who witnessed a traumatic event as a child, becomes the first black reporter at the Arkansas Sun in 1960. He is assigned to write a story about a murder, but finds the town where the murder took place abandoned because fourteen townspeople had disappeared.

About the Author
J. Everett Prewitt is the author of a nonfiction work, Urban Residential Real Estate Market Analysis. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science Degree in Urban Studies from Cleveland State University. He was awarded the title of distinguished alumni at both schools. Prewitt, a former Army officer and Vietnam veteran, lives in Cleveland, Ohio and is currently working on his next book.
