Kirkland, WA (PRWEB) June 5, 2005 -- To celebrate the 98th birthday of Childrens Hospital, Loan Officer Wendy Allan is donating $98 every time she closes a home loan. Thats one dollar for each year Childrens has been caring for Seattles families. Her goal is to close 98 loans between June 1st and December 31st, to raise $9,604.

Two of Allans kids had health issues that landed the family in the emergency room countless times. Miraculously, the staff at Childrens Hospital always saved their lives -- and her sanity, jokes Allan.

When your childs life is on the line, you tend to make deals with God and the universe that if he pulls through, youll do everything in your power to properly thank the people who saved his life. Im finally in a place now where I have the resources to fulfill the thousands of promises I made to give back, so Im going for it," says Allan.

The money Allan raises will go towards:
- Providing the finest health care to children regardless of a familys ability to pay.
- Supporting rapid strides toward treatments and cures for diseases.
- Developing facilities that will enable Childrens to provide the highest quality, family-oriented care.

Additionally, when K-12 teachers and administrators close a loan with her from June 1st to December 31st, Allan will donate $250 to the school of their choice. Allan, the mother of three, feels indebted to the Lake Washington School District for enriching her familys life, giving her kids a top-notch education, and playing such an important role in the community. On top of that, Washington Mutual offers a Teacher Mortgage Program, which offers a half-point discount to all full-time K-12 teachers and administrators.
