Red Bank, New Jersey Based The Curchin Group Celebrates Its 50th Year in Business

The Curchin Group, a middle-market public accounting firm based in Red Bank, New Jersey, celebrates its 50th anniversary in business this month. The firm will host an evening social on June 9, 2005 at the Ocean Place Resort & Spa to celebrate the occasion.

Bob Fouratt, Managing Partner, attributes Curchin’s staying power to its ability to sustain long-term relationships with clients. “Some clients have been with Curchin for over 35 years,” Fouratt explains. “Our clients respect Curchin’s heritage and commitment to the Monmouth County community. Doug Stives, a 35 year Curchin Veteran and unofficial historian of the firm, shares the firm’s humble beginnings. “George Curchin, a young, likeable CPA, hung out a shingle for his second floor walk up office on Broadway in Long Branch. The lower floor of the same building was occupied by Nick’s Bar. This allowed a sort of one stop shopping in the same building.” Curchin moved to Red Bank in 1975 in response to a quickly expanding client list and demands from the local marketplace.

Curchin currently employs 26 professionals, including six partners. The firm offers a broad range of assurance, tax, financial planning and business advisory services to closely-held, middle-market businesses and individuals in the greater New Jersey area.
