A2ZCDS.com Breaks Into Audio Marketplace in May: Has Increased Number Of Product Offerings 400% In 12 Month Cycle

A2ZCDS.com, the popular online library of historical and educational CD-ROMs and DVDs released its first-ever traditional audio products in May in an effort to continue to expand market presence.

(PRWEB) June 8, 2005 -- At this point we realized that traditional audio compact disks were a product offering that we needed to address," said A2ZCDS founder Scott Reid. That meant that we had to adjust our production efforts slightly in order to maintain our consistently high standards of quality."

A2ZCDS had planned to have a total of 1,000 products on the market by the end of 2005. Currently the company sells about 400 products and introduced 32 new titles in May -- including the audio disks.

At this point we expect to have between 700 and 800 products on the market by Dec. 31," Reid said. While slightly lower than our initial projections, we are still proud that our total number of product offerings has increased over 400 percent in the last 12 months."

The new audio products follow the A2ZCDS tradition of finding historically valuable content and using state of the art technology to preserve it in a digital format -- so that it will not be lost to history.

The audio CDs include works by New Jersey native Thomas A. Edison, as well as turn of the century recordings of traditional African American musical festivals.

Allowing original Edison recordings to disappear into the dustbin of history would be a crime," Reid said. The traditional musical recordings not only give us a sense of our shared American history but also show how todays popular music has evolved over the past 100 years."

New product offerings in May also include 10 classic Hollywood movies, several cultural history DVDs -- including one celebrating vintage erotica -- and several photographic CDs.
