Father's Day at Fishercats Ballpark on June 19 in Manchester, NH

Fathers-4-Justice US, a group working for equality in child custody, is sponsoring a Father's Day outing at the new Fishercats Ballpark in Manchester, NH. The Fishercats are taking on the Trenton Thunder, the Yankees AA affiliate, Gametime is 1:05 p.m. on Sunday June 19th. Tickets are $4.

(PRWEB) June 8, 2005 -- Dads, kids, friends and supporters are invited to come celebrate Father's Day and join others who are working for equality in the Family Court system while relaxing at a fun Fishercats ball game.

The event is being coordinated by Don Florence, former Red Sox minor leaguer who also pitched briefly in the majors for the New York Mets. Robert Chase, head of F4J in New England is co-coordinator, recently featured in a New York Times Magazine article on the plight of fathers seeking more equitable custody arrangements after divorce.

Taking in a game together at the new Fishercats Ballpark is a great way for fathers and children to spend a sunny, relaxing Fathers Day afternoon enjoying the atmosphere and one anothers company," says Chase.

"Were a family-friendly organization. Wed love to see grandparents, stepparents, aunts, uncles, and friends come out to the Ballpark. And, fathers who arent able to see their kids are able encouraged to come, too...to meet others who are committed to changing the custody system, to build camaraderie, and to brighten what otherwise might be a difficult day."

Every year thousands of fathers are marginalized in the lives of their children after divorce and children are not allowed significant access to both parents. F4J in the UK and now in the US seeks to raise awareness of these inequities via rallys, legislative lobbying and flamboyant actions.

The event allows fathers, children, family, friends and supporters of F4J to spend some time relaxing and supporting each other.

Tickets can be reserved by sending email to fishercats@nh.f4j.us or by calling 800 547-3148.
