ACE Screenwriters Contests Begins

ScreenWritersRus announces that submissions for screenplays begins June 15, 2005 for the ACE Screenplay Contests with the Deadline of September 15, 2005.

(PRWEB) June 11, 2005 -- The Webster's Dictionary Defines the word 'Ace' as , "being of the highest quality or first ranked," and that is what ScreenWritersRus is searching for - the highest quality screenplay. Beginning June 15, 2005, the ACE competition begins accepting screenplay submissions. Authors must be at least 18 years of years and the screenplay must be unoptioned and unproduced. Submission deadline is September 15, 2005. The winning screenplay will be announced December 15, 2005.

ScreenWritersRus is also conducting a search for the highest quality TV script. Submissions for the best script begins January 1, 2006. Deadline for submissions is April 15, 2006. The winning screenplay will be June 15, 2006.

For the first time there will be the ACE High School Screenwriting Contest. This contest will be open to all teens registered in school or home schooled. Parental consent to participate in contest will be required. Submissions of both TV scripts and screenplays in this contest begins August 15, 2005 with a deadline date of February 15, 2006. The winning script will be announced May 1, 2006.

Prizes will be awarded in all three categories valued at $1,000 for first place winners. The Elite Judging Panel includes Emmy Award winning screenwriters and major film produers.
