Â?Reach More Students. Teach More StudentsÂ? initiative designed to meet the gap between the number of educated Americans and the number of jobs requiring post secondary education.

Sessions Education Advisory Services, an Allied Plus member of the Career College Association (CCA), will introduce its online class content and distance educational services to the 1,270 CCA member institutions at its 2005 Convention & Exposition, June 22 to 24, in Las Vegas. Those services include strategy development, online curriculum development and migration, infrastructure design and marketing.

Career schools are expected to play an increasingly important role in addressing an identified gap between the number of jobs requiring post secondary education and the inability of traditional colleges to fill that demand.

Rittenhouse Capital Partners LLC, a Washington DC based advisory firm that specializes in postsecondary education, and who is raising the first venture capital firm to focus full time on the postsecondary education industry, sees growing opportunities for career colleges to meet the shortcomings of the public postsecondary education system.

“Over the past 30 years, postsecondary education demographics have shifted considerably away from the traditional student base to ‘non traditional' students,” stated Edward P. Meehan, Partner. “The typical four-year residential college does not serve this market segment well.

In addition, despite the powerful economic value of a postsecondary education, only 34 percent of Americans have an associate's degree or higher. This leaves a substantial and increasing gap between the number of educated Americans and the number of jobs that require postsecondary education.”

Distance education is likely to play a major role in providing non-traditional students a path towards achieving their educational and career goals. In spite of its growing acceptance, many educational institutions still struggle with developing programs of consistently high quality with a strong, student experience. In addition, faculties who teach in online environments require different training methodologies to ensure achievement of learning objectives.

“We've successfully addressed the needs of the non-traditional student since 1997 under a total distance education model,” stated Doris Granatowski, Sessions CEO. “Our Sessions Online School of Design clearly demonstrates our expertise in developing curriculums for online instruction, managing the student services challenges of online education, and training instructors in the skills needed to teach students at a distance.”

Christopher Clapp, president and CEO of ANGEL Learning said, "Sessions.edu brings a unique perspective and qualifications to assisting educators in their efforts to offer online learning. They founded their own online school in 1997 and provide programming in an area of education many thought could not be taught online...graphic and web design."

Sessions.edu has recently partnered with ANGEL Learning to offer online education services to users of the company's web-based learning management system – ANGEL|LMS. (Click here for details on this new partnership in distance education)

“Our program (Reach More Students - Teach More Students) is available to select colleges, universities, and corporations who seek to enter or expand their presence in the growing and competitive world of distance education. Our student-centered education strategies are a perfect fit with those institutions that seek to provide a quality educational value proposition to their students,” stated Granatowski.
