Winston-Salem, North Carolina is the host of the Victory in the Family Conference which includes notable church ministry personalities as Pastor Lyle Dukes, Co-Pastor Deborah Dukes, Dr. Zachery Tims, Pastor Marvin Sapp, Minister Byron Cage and Minister Stephen Hurd.
(PRWEB) June 13, 2005 -- Internationally renowned speakers Pastor Lyle Dukes, Co-Pastor Deborah Dukes, Dr. Zachery Tims and award winning gospel artists Marvin Sapp, Byron Cage and Stephen Hurd will convene at the Benton Convention center in Winston-Salem, NC on June 23rd and 24th for the Victory in the Family Conference.
With support from the Winston-Salem area churches and ministries, the conference sponsor, Lyle and Deborah Dukes Ministries (based in the suburbs of Washington D.C.) stated that this conference is designed to empower families through dynamic seminars, inspirational preaching and great gospel music.
The Family is the focus of this conference," said Pastor Dukes, founder of the ministry, and senior Pastor of the Harvest Life Changers Church in Woodbridge, VA. This is not just a conference but an event to build up the community and local churches through the strengthening the family."
The two-day conference is scheduled to have classes and events for the youth as well as adults. Some of the events include seminars on parenting, economic empowerment, sex and dating, the challenge of blended families, music, media and choices and a kid zone" for children ages 5-11. There will also be a Family Fun Night, which will feature group performances for local churches. One of the features of the conference is the conference choirs for the adults and youth, respectively. The conference choir will be made up of participants of the conference, many from the triad area.
At an informational luncheon held at the Adams Mark Hotel in Winston-Salem in early May, local pastors and media representatives were given a briefing of the conference goals.
