Platform Lab also partners with Case and BlueBridge to expand its test facilities

BlueBridge Networks, LLC™ announced today it has signed an agreement with Case Western Reserve University to provide secure space in a high-tech environment for Case’s secondary data center at its facility in the Sterling Building at 1255 Euclid Avenue, downtown Cleveland.

“BlueBridge allows Case to tap into a robust data center that aligns with Case’s business continuity and disaster recovery strategy,” said Lev Gonick, Vice President for Information Services & Chief Information Officer for Case Western Reserve University. “Moreover, BlueBridge’s downtown location is important to the university’s commitment to economic development in this region.”

Case selected BlueBridge over other providers for several reasons, including its:

• Robust backup power via an Uninterruptible Power System (UPS).

• Generator power that, combined with the UPS system, can keep Case and other clients up and running for more than seven days without refueling in the event of a disaster.

• State-of-the-art temperature and humidity control designed specifically to house data of this magnitude.

• Exceptional air filtration system.

In partnership with Case and BlueBridge, Platform Lab, the nation’s only non-profit information technology test facility based in Columbus, Ohio, will open a Cleveland facility in BlueBridge’s downtown location on June 27, 2005.

Platform Lab enables Ohio firms and organizations to conduct thorough IT testing by leveraging an extensive hardware and software inventory, eliminating the need to invest in expensive, short term assets. The Cleveland facility is the first of Platform Lab’s three expansion sites.

“Hosting Case and Platform Lab at our facility is a testament to their foresight and commitment to business continuity,” said Neil Adelman, Chief Executive Officer of BlueBridge. “This collaboration is mutually beneficial and is another example of downtown Cleveland’s growing status as a hub for high technology endeavors.”
