There's a new candle business in town, but it's not like all the rest. Prairie Soy Candles is offering a new way to order unique soy candles online.

The choice to use only soy wax was an easy one. The main benefit of using soy wax is it creates a cleaner burning candle with less black soot. However, there's a deeper reason this new mother-daughter candle company decided to use soy wax. Being born and raised in small town Iowa, both owners understand the need to support our local farmers. Soy wax was definately the way to go, since it does help support Iowa's soy bean farmers.

In addition to using only natural soy wax in each candle, there's another special feature which makes this particuar company unique - the site changes weekly to feature new scents and styles of candles. "We didn't want to be just like everyone else, offering only a set amount of scents. Being creative and always comming up with something new so it makes others think 'What's there this week?' was our goal" Kelso says. When a new scent is featured on the website, the previous week's scent is gone.
