Calling All Charities - DonorTravel.com Seeks Partnerships to Benefit from Pledge to Give Back

DonorTravel.com is seeking to form partnerships with charitable and nonprofit organizations to expand its contributions.

Attention all charitable organizations: DonorTravel.com wants you. DonorTravel.com is the only web-based travel booking resource offering consumers the best values and selection available online plus the added benefit of supporting a variety of charitable and non-profit causes, and is looking to extend its queue of organizations with which to partner – and profit.

“We are seeking interested charities to collaborate with for mutual gains, primarily those with national scope that can help spread the word about DonorTravel.com in newsletters, mailers, events and sponsorship opportunities,” said Louis Willacy, founder and visionary of DonorTravel.com, who was a corporate attorney before turning online travel expert. “Through increased funding these organizations will prosper, and with increased exposure DonorTravel.com will continue to grow.”

The e-business travel website, with the tagline “Feel Good Travel,” was launched earlier this year on the simple pledge to give back to the community through socially responsible travel, and to provide a quality product that people trust and desire. DonorTravel.com accomplishes this by donating 50% of all booking commissions to support a host of select charitable and non-profit groups, and by offering a comprehensive assortment of travel options at great prices.

Now, with an eye on expanding services, Willacy is intent on partnering with additional charitable and non-profit organizations for cross-promotion and to feature on his innovative travel website. These groups benefit financially from DonorTravel.com donations, and gain added visibility by having their name and description posted on the high-traffic e-travel shop.

The process is direct and simple. When travel is purchased on DonorTravel.com, the consumer selects one charity among the many different organizations to receive funding from their booking. Willacy hand-picked the list of beneficiaries to represent many of today’s important causes, from medical research and childhood illness, to aid and assistance and minority education. Among those featured are the American Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Africare and United Negro College Fund.

To date, DonorTravel.com has generated more than $5,000 in bookings and keeps growing thanks to social and online advertising, trade and media coverage, and charitable alliances. From the bookings, a percentage is paid back to the travel firm in commission and then half of that amount is donated by DonorTravel.com to charity. The commissions vary among hotels, cruise lines, car rental agencies and airlines, which pay a flat commission for every flight reservation.

DonorTravel.com is part of Oakland, California-based Interactive Travel Group, which now includes the online travel discussion board, TravelWisdom.com for travelers to learn, travel and share their travel experiences.
