"Not Tonight Dear, I've got a Headache"

(PRWEB) June 22, 2005 -- The problem with planning a secret weekend away in a quiet, rural retreat, is finding your way there in the first place! Now guests can get great directions using a new web based service which is freely available to B&B owners and guesthouse operators.
"Getting lost is the surest way to put out the fires on a passionate weekend away" says Chris Parkin who has welcomed guests to his Carlton Lodge Guesthouse for over 20 years. "I can tell as soon as they arrive that they've had a stressful trip over and that's not the way to start the weekend!"
Every B&B, guesthouse, hotel and lodge will have a set of directions to offer their guests, but typically they cover the last few miles to the accommodation. Which means the guest has to figure out the early stages of the trip. By adding this free code to their web-sites, which links directly into the new Google Maps resource, accommodation providers can provide door-to-door directions automatically.
Giving great directions over the phone doesn't solve the problem, according to Chris, who has been in the hospitality industry for over 40 years. In fact according to famous Australian author Allan Pease: "Scientists can now prove that women can't read maps." However, "They still can't figure out why men won't ask directions!" says Chris Parkin.
The new route planning software is being made freely available to any guesthouse owner or accommodation provider at the B&B support website:
