The National Rock and Roll Club, (http://www.nrrcna.org) is an Extracurricular Jr. High School and High School Club Activity.
Schools have limited money due to the Federal Government ÂNo Child Left Behind requirements, as such, Music Programs are facing hard times. The NRRCNA Club is an inexpensive Music Program. The estimated cost of each School Club will be about $ 2,000.00 per School, per year.
The Weekly School Club Meetings will discuss and Teach aspects of Performance and Music Business, including Business Skills, Technical Skills, Performance Skills, Governmental Laws and a Historical Perspective.
The Clubs will take part in Intramural Project Competitions consisting of Create a Music Video, Create a Retail Merchandise Display Table, Create a Band Website, Create the Graphic Arts Work for Album Covers, Tour Posters, T-Shirts, etc., and Create a Business and Marketing Plan to convince a group of Investors to make an Investment in the Band. The Project Competitions are based upon a Specific Fact Pattern. (With Winners advancing through Division, to Conference to League Competitions.)
Each School Club will take part in Six Intramural Performance Band Competitions, being Rated and Judged on an extensive list of Performance Criteria. (Two Bands from each School compete against Two Bands from another School-Seven Schools to a Division with the Club obtaining the most Points advancing to Conference, then League Competitions.)
Yes, this is a very Cute Idea.
The Full NRRCNA Club Handbook is available in pdf format on the Home Page of the NRRCNA Website. (http://www.nrrcna.org)
NRRCNA is about Education to Prepare Talent. It is time we begin to Educate this young talent. It is time we take these kids out of their garages and the bars where they are forced to perform and put them in a structured School environment.
All Donations will be made direct to the School. Please do not send us money; we only want your Pledge Card. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a Pledge Card.
If every person in the Music Industry made a small Donation to their old High School and Jr. High School to support a NRRCNA Club, we could underwrite this in every one of the approximate 25,000 Jr. High Schools and High School, in the US and Canada real quickly.
NRRCNA is a Division of The Association of Independent Rockers, Inc., a Not For Profit Trade and Business Association providing Education, Networking and Advocacy for The Small Business Performing Rock and Roll Band.
Taoir.org publishes the Small Business Band Journal, a Weekly Newsletter and provides The Music Industry Stock Watch, a Research Study to Determine the Health of the Music Industry through the Market Prices of selected Music Industry Public Company Stocks.
One question: When you were in Jr. High School or High School, would you have joined this Club, if it existed? The Truth. You would have and had a fantastic time. Let us help these kids. Make a Pledge.
