Weight Loss Author Proves His Methods Work
Seven weeks ago the author of "The Last 10 Pounds" decided to prove by example that the fat loss principles outlined in his eBook really work. Using his blog at www.Last10Pounds.com, he tracked his diet and workouts in detail on a daily basis and has completed his experiment.
(PRWEB) June 23, 2005 -- Vic Holtreman, author of "The Last 10 Pounds", decided to put his reputation on the line a few weeks ago by demonstrating in real time that his methods of losing those last few pounds of stubborn fat really work. Due to problems with his back, Vic's weight had crept back up to where it was at the point when he took the "before" picture for his eBook, but he was determined to achieve a body fat level of less than 10%.
"I was a bit hesitant to do this in real time. I didn't know if my back pain would allow me to go through with my demonstration, or whether my body would respond as well as I'd hoped." (Vic is 44 year old.) "I thought that I could kill two birds with one stone by getting back in shape and proving that the principles in my eBook really work," Vic says. "By tracking my fitness progress publicly, I held myself accountable and found that accountability can be a powerful motivator." In addition to tracking his fat loss progress, Vic has offered tips, information, and has dispelled myths associated with weight loss, nutrition and fitness in general on the site.
Vic does not believe in the "fast weight loss" approach, instead relying on a "slow and steady" method which he says will allow one to keep the weight off. He says: "If you go on a three day juice diet or some other 'quickie' weight loss method, what happens when you're done? Have you learned how to eat the right foods or will you go back to eating the same foods that gained you the weight on Monday morning?"
Apparently not only can he talk the talk, but as evidenced by the numbers and photo on his website, he can walk the walk and lose fat using his own methods as well.
In the seven weeks of his "Lose the Last 10 Pounds" program he has dropped his body fat from approximately 13% to 8.6%, and has lost two inches from his waistline.
