Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) June 23, 2005 -- With seven members in Salt Lake City, three in India, and plans to double the number of employees in the next four months Analitica Corporate Strategy (www.analiticacorporatestregy.com) still flies under the radar of most business people. The two founders, Daniel Urmann and Avid Amiri, both of whom hold MBAs from Cornell University, started the firm a year ago have kept it quiet for good reason.
Like most start-ups, Analitica Partners was established to fill a gap in the current landscape of strategic consulting.
When your net profits are over a million dollars in 12 months with a start-up, it is not something you usually want to be broadcasting. However, we are now confident in our business strategy and welcome any challengers," says Avid Amiri, co-founder and also a graduate professor of Entrepreneurship at Westminster College in Salt Lake City.
Daniel Urmann was a mergers and acquisitions consultant in New York City and also served as the Manager of North American Strategy for Cendant ( a firm with approximately $20 billion in revenue in 2004) in New Jersey before co-founding Analitica Corporate Strategy. What I saw as an internal and external consultant to large firms was an incredible lack of being able to compete on the Internet. Even throwing significant resources into their online channels was yielding little results, mostly due to a lack of understanding the dynamic nature of online marketing and a hubristic attitude towards the fragmented and oftentimes small competitors. The amazing thing on the Internet that sparked my imagination was watching small firms and even individuals beat out Americas largest companies in online marketing channels." Daniel Urmann described the online strategy of some of Americas largest companies as watching giant corporate barges try to make their way via sheer force up a creek with only two inches of water". Here I was watching small companies websites, with a few thousand dollars invested, getting more visitors and traffic than the websites of multinational companies with multimillion dollar websites. I knew the little guys were doing something right and rather than fight them I decided to join them. I quit my job a few days later determined to figure out how to replicate the astounding phenomena I was witnessing."
Many consulting firms dictate and write about strategy but never actually incorporate it into their own business model. Analitica Partners took a different approach We wanted to first develop the strategies we were witnessing into duplicable processes before we attempted to package them as a consulting product."states Avid Amiri. In order to do this Avid Amiri and Daniel Urmann first developed an actionable toolkit of consulting strategies that they were confident could accelerate the online success of any Internet platform. To test their newly developed strategies they pooled their 401ks and bought the internet platform www.pottytrainingsolutions.com. In just a few short months we were able to transform this humble online store into the number 1 potty training site on the Internet. Visitors and sales skyrocketed by over 1500% with number 1 rankings on every major search engine for the important term potty training". We were shocked at just how successful we were able to make this company and how quick it happened. We were beating out international companies like Kimberly Clark overnight, to the extent that they even called us interested in using our website as an advertising tool for Pull-ups. In fact we thought it might be a fluke so we decided to do it again." Having refined some of our techniques we launched www.kidsfirstinternet.org, as an online parenting community and store. We wanted to really test the limits of our tools so we initially only invested $65 in this site. Six months latter the site had over 5000 visitors a day, was beating out sites like www.potterybarnkids.com for search engine traffic and with projected 05 sales in excess of 1 million dollars it was deemed a complete success. By early June we were so confident in our approach to online marketing and ecommerce that we had divested both of these websites for a substantial return on investment. It was hard to let these fast-growing companies go but the price was right and we wanted to stay true to our consulting background rather than get caught up in the day-to-day operations of a company." Says Avid Amiri.
We were the keynote speakers at the Mountainwest Venture Capital Association last fall and after our presentation were approached by several companies looking for consulting, listening to their problems I thought we could help but it was still to early in our firms lifecycle to be sure we had the answers." With a smile Daniel Urmann adds that their website www.analiticacorporatestrategy.com now ranks number 6 on Yahoo for the term corporate strategy" and is already beating out the countries largest consulting firms." Avid Amiri adds why would you hire even the largest global consulting firm to handle your online marketing strategy if a small outfit out of Utah can beat them so easily. My philosophy in teaching entrepreneurship is similar to my philosophy in consulting -- first practice what you preach and second preach what you practice." Analitica Corporate Strategy surely does both. For more information about online corporate strategy or Analitica Partners please contact Avid Amiri directly at 801-484-3126.
