Saving New York's Gentler Giants - Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League Hosts A Gentle Giant Fundraising Event at i Bar

New York: Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League (MAGDRL) is partnering with i BAR," on Saturday, July 16 for an evening to raise funds and educate the public about a K9 breed that often gets confused with a horse!

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 24, 2005 -- Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League (MAGDRL) is partnering with i BAR," on Saturday, July 16 for an evening to raise funds and educate the public about a K9 breed that often gets confused with a horse!

Great Dane owners alike will tell you they often get asked, Wheres your saddle for that horse?" And its often the size of the massive breed that so many end up in shelters or on the street and in need of rescue. MAGDRL is committed to helping abandoned, neglected and/or abused Danes find forever homes.

The Great Giant Fundraiser is Saturday, July 16 stating at 7:00 p.m. at i BAR," an eclectic American cuisine restaurant located in Tribeca, 277 Church Street (Between Franklin & White), New York. For directions visit: www.ibarnyc.com. An auction is planned, celebrities are invited and a fun night is going to be had by all!    

All of the evenings proceeds will help care for MAGDRLs abandoned, abused, and neglected 100 to 200 pound gentle giants. Currently they have between 70 -- 90 Danes in foster care and looking for their forever homes.

Hors d'oeuvres will be served and i BAR" will be pouring dog-related beers, to celebrate the theme of the fundraiser from 7 to 10 p.m. A live auction and raffle will liven up the evening! Cash bar after 10 p.m.

Tickets will be pre-sold online via PayPal for $50 each that includes open bar and hors doeuvres from 7 to 10 p.m. After 10 p.m. tickets are $25 with a cash bar. With over 350 volunteers and serving seven states of the Mid-Atlantic region (NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE, VA, DC, WV, NC, and SC), MAGDRL provide the means to spay/neuter, necessary medical treatment and train/socialize the Danes in their care to ensure adaptability in their new homes.

MAGDRL is completely run by volunteers who educate the public and potential owners about caring for this wonderful breed through various community efforts. They are a DC corporation and has a charitable tax-exemption under code 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. MAGDRL is staffed completely by volunteers. Therefore, 100% of the funds donated go to helping MAGDRLs Great Danes.
