The Marketing Executives Networking Group (MENG), the leading lifelong networking group for senior (Vice President and above) Marketers, recently elected a new Board. This is the first time that the Board of the ten year old organization has been directly elected by its members.

In a high interest election, conducted entirely online, the membership of this prestigious and influential organization elected a new board. Selected as chairman was Richard Guha, former Procter & Gamble executive, and currently Principal of the New England Consulting Group, the leading Marketing Strategy consulting firm. Newly elected vice chairman was Andy Whitman, a former senior Kraft marketer and currently Managing Partner of 2X Management LLC, a private equity investing firm. Other board members are or have been corporate officer level executives in some of the world’s leading companies.

“The Marketing Executive Networking Group started with a small number of senior executives meeting informally in Connecticut,” said Richard Guha. “Now it has members and chapters across the USA and beyond. The group has become a necessary affiliation for many senior marketers. We anticipate substantial growth over the next few years.”

Richard Guha, with bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Cambridge University, has been a corporate officer in three major global corporations, president of Reliant Energy Retail, CMO of MediaOne/US West, and Remedy/BMC enterprise software. He founded several companies and has been on the Board of three. He brought his experience and insight, gained in fifteen years in the rigorous and competitive world of consumer packaged goods at Procter & Gamble and Mars, Inc., to other industries. He played pivotal roles in the transformation of several major corporations. Richard created the consumer broadband market and he has advised many Fortune 500 corporations and well-known CEOs. His thoughts on a wide range of business issues are expressed regularly at Contact him for more information on this subject.

MENG exists to provide lifelong support to its members. Members are vice presidents of marketing, senior vice presidents, up to chief marketing officers. Several CEOs have been MENG members in the past. They provide advice, factual information, and career help to each other as needed. The organization also sponsors expert speakers across the country, job lead sharing, as well as supporting the press when it requires input on business and marketing issues. Frequently, MENG will provide quotable commentary as well as off the record advice on topical matters as requested by the press. MENG also works with many recruiters to fill challenging open senior positions.
