McKenzie, California Artist Nominee, will be recognized at ARTV Launch Party and Sneak Preview in Los Angeles.

The Museum of Television and Radio in Beverly Hills will host the ARTV Preview Party packed with celebrities and surprise guests. McKenzie, a celebrated Mixed Media artist and nominee, will be exhibiting some of her award winning art pieces and meeting with the press to discuss her nomination at the event.

(PRWEB) June 30, 2005 -- McKenzies remarkable artistic career is being singled out with a nomination as Best Mixed Media Artist" in the Premiere 2005 ARTV Fine Art Awards taking place on October 28, 2005 at the MGM Grand Las Vegas to be filmed in HDTV for broadcast.

"When viewing her work in a survey of fifty or more paintings that range between spiritual abstractions and glowing landscapes-- I am moved deeply. She is a pioneer in organic abstraction, labeled the first artist to use alluvious chromatism" (Flowing Intense Colors)

McKenzie began first painting her organic abstractions in 1990. Her first series sold out almost immediately upon release as a visceral connection was formed with the viewer. At the core of all her work is an intense spiritual bonding to nature. Stunning abstractions that capture the desert and the startling sensations of the barren landscape are beautifully translated in her latest series Canyon" which won her the ARTV Nomination. These mixed media works radiate with spiritual energy and intensity, a continuum in all of her work.

McKenzie is a fascinating artist whose work adeptly bridges the span between vibrant realism and spiritual organic abstraction. Her intense, luminous paintings serve both as physical representations of an intellectual study and as guides to emotional contemplation. Her painterly representations of the natural landscapes become shapes, color, and texture. She uses swirling, fluid lines to add an amazing layer of kinesthetic energy." excerpt from Marty Olsen's article.
