Producer Jesse Kitten announces the DVD/VHS premiere of "Vampire Assassin", a horror film that features martial arts. Starring Ron Hall (Bloodsport2).

Long Beach CA (PRWEB) July 22, 2005 -- Producer Jesse Kitten proudly announces the worldwide DVD/VHS release of "Vampire Assassin" by Lion's Gate Films/Universal Pictures. This explosive action flick stars Ron Hall (Bloodsport2),who makes his debut as a film director. "VA" also features Gerald Okamura (Blade Runner, Redemption), Rudy Ray Moore (Dolemite), and Anthony Chow (Mad TV).

Jesse Kitten (formerly Barry Reneau) a native of Chicago, began his career as a stagehand in 1969 at the Louis Theatre under the direction of Broadway Playwright Theodore Ward ("Our Lan" 1947 Royale Theatre). After making his stage debut in 1971 at Chicago State University, he continued to perform in numerous productions throughout the Chicagoland area. He made his professional debut in 1979 as Gus in the Goodman Theatre production of "Native Son". The following year he was cast as Sgt.Amusa in the U.S. premiere of Nobel Prize winning playwright Wole Soyinka's production of "Death and the King's Horseman" at the Goodman Theatre,which subsequently toured the Kennedy Center.During this period,he also made his screen debut in the Diana Ross film: "Mahogany". After relocating to NYC in 1980,Jesse Kitten performed at numerous clubs.As a standup-he was favorably reviewed by the N.Y. Post(Curt Davis 2/10/1984),and appeared at such clubs as: Dangerfields, PIPS, The Comic Strip, Palssons, etc.He also appeared Off-Broadway in the Mabou Mines production of "Cold Harbor" at the NYSF/Public Theatre. Film credits during this time include: "Cotton Club" and "Ragtime". After relocating to Los Angeles in 1985,he starred in the play: "Drums across the Realm" directed by Forest Whitaker. Jesse Kitten has also produced three short films: "Extensions",Sherlock Jones and the Missing Hot Dog", and "Enter..the Afro" which won an online short film festival award Communities.com 2000 20-30 minutes).
