Single women of Latino or Hispanic heritage between the ages of 18 and 27 are showcased in the Miss Latina U.S. national competition that fosters cultural awareness and stronger ties between the U.S. and Latin America. Delegates are selected from across the USA through affiliate state pageants or at-large process to vie for recognition and a prize package valued at over $15,000,00.
The Pageant Finals will be broadcast on TeleLatina.TV worldwide via the Internet and on local Mexican television, with future airings programmed in the U.S. Performing guest artists, also from the U.S., are popular Reggaeton group La Familia, with UnivisionÂs Jackeline Cacho acting as emcee.
Prior to the Finals telecast, U.S. delegates will fulfill an array of activities beyond the compulsory rehearsals and pageant competitions that commence upon their arrival in Cancun on September 25th and include photo shoots, press conferences, local attractions, a fashion show and social events.
Once again, Barceló Hotels and Resorts, home to Miss Latin America® Pageants since 2000, will host the annual event and official national preliminary to select the U.S. delegate to the world finals. The Pageant returns to the Barceló Maya Beach Resort in MexicoÂs Mayan Riviera for the second time, having been staged there in 2003.
