(PRWEB) July 6, 2005 -- With youth flag football about to begin in many parts of the country, a new website has arrived to help both coaches and parents alike. CoachYouthSports.com has announced the launching of a new website, CoachFlagFootball.com.

CoachFlagFootball.com offers Flag Football Coaching Tips, Effective Flag Football Drills, Pre-Designed Flag Football Practice Plans, and Winning Flag Football plays. Both the veteran coach and the parent looking for more information on Flag Football should find the materials on CoachFlagFootball.com extremely useful. Here are few of the tips found on CoachFlagFootball.com:
- Keep it Simple - Try to keep your Offense/Defense Simple and Easy for your players to understand. You will find that you use only a handful of plays 80% of the time
- Blocking-Blocking-Blocking - If your Team can not Block. You will not be successful. Teach your players to maintain their blocks until they hear the whistle.
- If you have a Passing Game, Great. If you don't have a Passing Game, Don't Worry. Run the ball.
- SWARM - On Defense the name of the game is SWARM! Teach your Defense to swarm around the ball. The more players around the ball, the more opportunities you have to grab the flag.
- Running Backs should run North to South, not East to West. To avoid being tackled, many young players run sideline to sideline. Teach your team to run downfield towards the 1st down marker or End Zone.
- Focus on what's important. The Kids. There's no National Championship or Offensive Coordinator of the year awards in Flag Football. This game is for the kids, not the parents, not the coaches.
- Your Goals should be Modest. Teach your players the fundamentals of Football, Show improvement from week to week, instill in your players a love for the Game.

CoachFlagFootball.com is part of the CoachYouthSports.com family, which includes other great sites for youth sports coaching: CoachTeeBall.com, CoachSoftball.com, CoachYouthSoccer.com, and CoachYouthBasketball.com.
