The Mag Seven (ex-Tsunami Bomb, ex-Slowride, Current Only Crime/Hagfish/Armstrong) Signs To End Records

The Mag Seven, an instrumental band featuring current and former members of Hagfish , Tsunami Bomb, Slowride, and Only Crime signs to a small independent label owned and run out of a college student's apartment. One of the members abruptly quit successful indie act Tsunami Bomb in 2004 and Hagfish fell victim to the fall of major London Records in the 1990's.

(PRWEB) July 2, 2005 -- n a step towards further independence, The Mag Seven which features Mike Griffin (guitar -- formerly of Tsunami Bomb), Doni Blair (bass -- Hagfish/Armstrong/ Only Crime), and Scott Brayfield (drums -- ex-Slowride) has signed to uber-indie label End Records (Austin, TX).

End Records is an records label run out of University of Texas business student and Truepunk.com founder Jonathan Gill's apartment.

The 100% instrumental band without costume gimmicks has two prior, heavily licensed, full-lengths and began the writing process for their third album (the first round of demos are complete), which will be recorded in the band's own studio September 2005.

RIYL: Punk, surf, indie rock, RFTC, Fugazi's Repeater, instrumental music without silly gimmicks, the two previous Mag Seven releases, rock, good music, and making up your own lyrics to songs.

The Mag Seven can be heard (and seen) on tour with The 5, 6, 7, 8's (predominantly featured in Kill Bill Vol. I?) in October as well as in the background of television programs on MTV, Food Network, VH1, and other channels.
