(PRWEB) July 5, 2005 -- Emerald Girls now has a monthly magazine, local workshops and even an online boutique all geared towards real beauty, real fashion and real life for young women of today.
"If you're happy with yourself, then you can be happy with others." A quote by Julie Andrews begins the short introduction. It's followed by four words: "Emerald Girls. Be Inspired..." In many places all over the internet, malls in large cities in the United States and, many other popular hang-outs for young ladies, that phrase is being posted. The only other thing tacked onto the advertisement is a website URL, http://www.EmeraldGirls.com inviting the viewers to find out exactly what it all means.
Emerald Girls is actually a three-fold company that has small beginnings. The owner and CEO , Candace Chiet started with an idea. For many years, this 23 year old model and former make-up artist had dreams of a publication that says good-bye to trends and, "rules" governed by designers, celebrity artists and, magazine editors.
The main focus of Emerald Girls is the monthly online publication or, E-zine that is set to debut in September called "The Emerald Book".The Emerald Book has three cardinal rules for all articles. First, they are never to speak of trends in fashion or beauty. Second, none of the staple articles in normal beauty and fashion publications are ever allowed. Third, every article should be suggested or, even based on a question from a reader.
The second part of Emerald Girls are "Emerald Girls Workshops".Candace explained workshops to us, "Workshops aren't just being with a make-up artist and, letting them put make-up on you. That's boring. You come to a workshop with something in mind and, a whole look you want to create. We just help you get that look. No one is going to tell you to wear this or, do that. One major thing Emerald Girls is about is self-confidence and, self-esteem. What better way to gain some confidence then to realize that you just created a look that's all you? Self-expression is such a huge catalyst for self-confidence."
Candace never wants to see the Emerald Girls pay for anything. So, she took a long-time dream of a boutique and, The Emerald Girls Store was also born. The store has it's claim to fame by offering many products that are normally available in spas or, salons. They carry name brands, and also some lesser-known brands that are starting to gain popularity.
Of course, Emerald Girls can not be ran by one person alone. The first person Candace teamed up with was Monica Nichols, she quickly became the Beauty Editor of The Emerald Book and, Monica is the founder of a make-up line called Asira Cosmetics. Customers are quoted raving about the quality, color, and feel of the make-up.Monica isn't the only person helping Candace make this dream a reality. The other members of the team all have credentials that could possibly make heads spin.
Bethany Saint Clair is a model that travels between the East and West Coasts. Bethany also has spent quite a bit of time teaching at finishing schools and, she has a college education in Computer Science. Lyndzee McDaniel is an actress and a model who has been in the spotlight since she was a child. Lyndzee works on a daily basis with young ladies who aspire to perform and, she helps them achieve those goals. Ron Titone is a MAC make-up artist who has a very down-to-earth approach to beauty. Ron has done work as an instructor, and been an artist to countless fashion shows in Miami and other cities.
Though they are starting out small, Emerald Girls has the makings to be something very large. Candace, Monica, Bethany, Lyndzee and Ron are all working together to make this small family grow and reach out to young women all over the world. As their adopted motto says, "Be Inspired..." and, Emerald Girls truly is inspiring.
