CBS Survivor Amazon contestant JoANNA Ward, an AFAA certified Fitness Counsultant, has partnered with The Mall at Stonecrest and SAMÂ?S Club of Lithonia through the Steps to a Healthier Dekalb initiative to present free fitness classes to the Dekalb County Community.

JoANNA Ward Fitness, Inc, recently partnered with the Steps to a Healthier DeKalb (DeKalb Steps) initiative. DeKalb Steps is a five year cooperative agreement program awarded to the DeKalb County Board of Health by the US Department of Health and Human Services as a part of Steps to a HealthierUS. Fitness classes will be strategically offered at the high traffic locations of The Mall at Stonecrest and SAM’S Club of Lithonia, to help combat the primary risk factors of physical inactivity and obesity. Classes will begin Saturday, July 9, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. at The Mall at Stonecrest.

JoANNA Ward, a well known motivational speaker and fitness enthusiast, is also a certified Counselor (M.Ed), personal trainer, and group exercise instructor (AFAA). In response to the rising epidemic of obesity and health related illnesses, Ward takes pride in utilizing her proven track record and expertise to develop creative, effective, and informative community fitness programs.

JoANNA Ward Fitness, Inc., a Hallelujah Productions subsidiary, is a Corporate Health, Fitness, and Wellness organization that helps create, strengthen, and build community and individual efforts to enhance overall fitness, well being, health, and lifestyle.

The Integrity Company, Hallelujah Productions, was derived from Ward's relentless and unique exclamation of "Hallelujah" after each of her many personal victories as a CBS SURVIVOR.

The CBS SURVIVOR television show offered JoANNA Ward the opportunity to show 22 million viewers her impeccable organizational and leadership skills. Ward led her all female, under-dog tribe to several victories against an all male tribe while facing the extremely difficult mental and physical challenges of the Amazon rain forest. Although Ward was ousted from the tribe relatively early in the competition, the personal qualities that once threatened her teammates are now in popular demand in the Southeast region.
