Popularity of CSI spurs growth in Forensic Science Interest and Blogs

While people continue to watch CSI and the spin-offs it has produced, people are flocking to Real Life forensic science and nursing courses both online and off. There is now a blog dedicated to people who want to try their hand at practicing and understanding forensic science in real life cases and situations.

(PRWEB) July 8, 2005 -- First there was CSI. Then CSI Miami and CSI New York. As the popularity of these shows has grown over the years, so has the interest that people have in applying forensic science and understanding how it works in every day life real cases and situations.

A blog has even been started to let people try their hand at playing Forensic Scientist by answering questions posed by a real MD who teaches forensic Nursing Courses Online.

Dr. James Johnson of Canyon College has started the Forensic Nursing Chronicles at http://forensicnursingcourses.com/blog and will be mediating further explorations of real life forensic cases and issues.

"Through a timely examination of real life issues and problems, I hope to help people understand further what is truly involved in forensic science and specifically forensic nursing" Dr. Johnson said.

Current questions that have been posted involve the case of people injured by fireworks on or around the Fourth of July. Dr. Johnson expects to maintain a lively discussion with any and all interested people on his blog regarding all sorts of current events.

Other planned topics could include shark attacks and kidnappings, auto accidents and even caring for injured soldiers abroad and at home.
