Claxon Media, a Philadelphia-based Internet advertising network, completed its second full quarter of operations on a strong note with 656,000,000 ads served during Q2 2005.

Startup internet advertising network Claxon Media completed a very strong second full quarter in operation by posting a solid 32 percent gain in ads served and a similar gain in revenues.

“We’re especially pleased that we continued our upward trend during the month of June which is typically the month that Internet usage begins to slow down for the summer,” said Dan Owens, Claxon’s Director of Media Relations. “Leaderboards and skyscrapers were very strong in June with banner ads also showing some modest price gains,” continued Owens.

Standard Internet Corporation, which manages Claxon’s ad serving and affiliate tracking technology, is equally pleased with their results. “We expected Claxon to build slowly for the first 3 quarters and then start to show some real growth during Q4,” said Robert Mooney, CEO of Standard Internet. “We were pleasantly surprised to see this type of growth in just two quarters. Claxon made a large investment in infrastructure to be able to smoothly scale to handle this type of growth and their foresight proved to be valuable” said Mooney.
