Surrey Lane to Hold Benefit Concerts for African Well Fund
Surrey Lane, the NYC-based pop-rock band will hold a series of benefit concerts for the African Well Fund.
(PRWEB) July 9, 2005 -- Surrey Lane, the NYC based Irish pop-rock band, has announced plans to perform a series of benefit concerts for the African Well Fund. The first concert will take place on Thursday, July 21st at the Goldhawk, 936 Park Ave., Hoboken, New Jersey.
The show starts at 9:00. Surrey Lane will be joined by special guest Bill Fleischer. Tickets are $5 at the door. All proceeds from the evening will benefit African Well Fund. The event will also include a special auction of sports memorabilia courtesy of Steiner Sports Marketing & Memorabilia, Inc. The auction features items from the NY Yankees, the NY Mets, NJ Devils, NY Jets, NY Giants and the Boston Red Sox. All proceeds from the auction will also benefit the African Well Fund. A representative from the African Well Fund will be on hand with information about our latest projects, volunteer opportunities and other ways to assist. African Well Fund t-shirts will also be available for purchase.
Pop-rock band, Surrey Lane (www.surreylane.com), is a popular figure in the New York City music scene. The band released Some Days to national radio in late 2003 and it charted in the Top 100. In May 2004, the band began The Long Way Home Acoustic Tour taking the band to 26 states and over 250 performances. The band performed songs from their recent CD, The Long Way Home, and their self-titled Surrey Lane.
