Real Digital Media Selected to Power Digital Signage Network Pilot for Rogers Video

Project has entered initial phase of anticipated 350 store chain rollout.

Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) July 12, 2005 -- Real Digital Media (RDM), a leading provider of next generation digital signage products for establishing point of purchase marketing, promotions and corporate communication networks, and Rogers Video, the largest Canadian-owned specialty video retailer, today announced the initiation of a digital signage network project to deliver targeted, rich media at the point-of-purchase across the Rogers Video chain.

Powered by RDMs NEOCAST platform, Rogers Video will gain the many advantages of having a centrally managed digital signage network to deliver relevant, targeted information, promotions and advertising to their customers seeking the best in-home entertainment experience. In addition, employees will receive the latest in corporate communications via the network.

"We are extremely excited about our selection as the digital signage network provider for Rogers Video", said Ken Goldberg, Chief Executive Officer of RDM. "They are truly a forward-thinking retailer that understands the potential of digital signage to enhance the store experience through relevant promotions and visual merchandising that resonates across their customer base."

Real Digital Media is working in close collaboration with Rogers Video to effectively integrate the digital signage network with the in-store experience, as well as measure the impact of the new technology on customer behavior. The measured results of this project will serve as the basis for the return on investment and benefits case required for the full digital signage network rollout.

"Rogers Video is always looking to bring new products and services to our stores that align with our goals of creating the optimal customer experience," said Daniel Langevin, Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising of Rogers Video. "With the digital signage network, we aim to provide our customers with a more valuable, informative and entertaining experience than what they are used to when they enter a video store. After performing our market research, we concluded Real Digital Medias NEOCAST platform was the best solution on the market to meet our digital signage goals."

With their new digital signage network, Rogers Video will deliver the latest movie trailers, video games and music selections to hit the shelves. In addition, the digital signage network will allow the store chain to promote and advertise other core offerings such as popcorn, drinks and confectionary items, as well as communicate key corporate messages to their in-store employees.
