Ground Zero Feature Documentary to Premiere on 9/11/05

Illuminare Entertainment pays tribute to Ground Zero volunteers with "Answering the Call", slated for 9/11/05 theatrical release.

Moorpark, CA (PRWEB) July 11, 2005 -- Illuminare Entertainment announces the acquisition of Chesca Media Group's documentary "Answering the Call: Ground Zero's Volunteers." The film will be released nationwide on September 11, 2005, with a portion of box office proceeds being donated by Illuminare to the Leary Firefighters Foundation.

Within minutes of the World Trade Center collapse on 9/11/01, emergency personnel and volunteers from around the nation responded to New Yorks call for help in what is considered by many as the greatest rescue mission ever. When everything could have totally fallen apart, these remarkable people revealed to the rest of the world the true meaning of the American Spirit.

Answering the Call is the heartfelt chronicle of the thousands of emergency personnel, on and off-duty, who responded to this nations worst disaster. Maria Florio, Academy Award winning documentarian (Broken Rainbow) states, "I was deeply touched by this film."

Lou Angeli, a volunteer fireman and seasoned producer of disaster training films, filmed at the site for 16 straight nights and days. His footage depicts the surreal sights and sounds of the now scared ground that was once the World Trade Center complex--a site now known throughout the world as Ground Zero.

Angeli has linked up with producer Bunny Dubin, a ground zero volunteer, who coordinated support efforts and personnel. Together they came up with a diverse group of Ground Zeros volunteers; volunteer firefighters, church and relief organization volunteers, and private citizens, who describe their experiences responding to the call for help. The interviews reveal untold facets of the rescue and recovery mission as well as the support efforts of those who staffed the perimeter.

"I seriously get choked up hearing about the experiences these people had", writes Ty Sieger, a firefighter and Ground Zero veteran from Washington state. "And the video is unbelievable...indescribable. I can't wait to see the entire film."

The creative forces at Chesca Media Group consist of Patricia Olesky, executive producer Bunny Dubin, Producer, with Lisa DiNardo and Lou Angeli serving as writers. Answering the Call is distributed by Illuminare Entertainment, which holds worldwide rights. Brunella Lisi, CEO of Illuminare feels confident her fellow Americans will openly support and embrace these tribute screenings. "Our mission is quite simple." she states, "Giving back to our Heroes and paying tribute to their work support, dedication and devotion."
