Hay Group, a global organizational and human resources consulting firm, announced today that Doug Jensen has relocated to the firm’s Walnut Creek, CA, office. Jensen is a vice president and head of Hay Group’s North American Reward Consulting Practice.

An authority on executive pay matters, Jensen has worked extensively with boards on issues of executive pay and governance. He has been quoted in the media, including The Financial Times and Time magazine, and presented at trade conferences and events. He most recently spoke at the annual WorldatWork Conference in May with Procter and Gamble on how to manage a matrix organization.

Jensen has been an active member of WorldatWork (formerly the American Compensation Association) since early in his career. He has been a member of the association’s faculty for certification and has recently been appointed to WorldatWork’s Executive Compensation Advisory Board.

“Doug has been a tremendous asset for our firm and for our clients,” said Gene Bauer, Vice President and head of Hay Group’s U.S. Consulting Operations. “He manages some of Hay Group’s largest client accounts, is a trusted advisor to their boards, and has developed countless numbers of our own consultants through his years of service.”

“Doug’s greatest attributes are his breadth of experience and his sincerity, which are essential when advising companies on such critical matters such as paying top executives,” added Murray M. Dalziel, Group Managing Director of Hay Group’s Global Practices.

Before joining Hay Group in 1982, Jensen was director of compensation and benefits at Pillsbury Company and held similar positions at Frito-Lay, Inc. and First National Bank of Atlanta.

Jensen earned his M.A. and B.A. at Stanford University.
