What's good for the heart? Love of course! But not everyone is lucky enough to find love. Some of those are overweight people who feel embarrassed or shy in the usual social gatherings where people meet to form relationships, that's if they go out at all.

We had the idea of starting a dating website for the more "plumptious" of the population when we bought a computer in June and went on the internet and saw quite a few adverts for dating websites so we joined one. One night we saw that there were about 7000 people on line at the same time as ourselves and we thought there's a considerable amount of lonely people out there. We then wondered if there was a dating website for overweight people. We did a search and discovered there wasn't a lot of competition so we thought we would have a go at it ourselves, hence Truly Plumptious was born.

Everyone has a right to love and be loved regardless of age, size, colour or creed. Sadly many people do not achieve this. Amongst these are large people who, perhaps through various experiences in their lives have been bullied, teased, humiliated and discriminated against have lost their self confidence and half low self esteem and are embarrassed or even scared to go out into the social world to meet people. So their chances of finding love, a soul mate or just friends are sometimes very limited.

With this in mind Truly Plumptious offers 3 days free trial period where they have the ability to place an ad, search and browse other ads. Once registered for full membership they can chat privately or join in a social gathering in the chat lounge with the added bonus of communicating with others in the privacy of your own home which diminishes the fear of bullying or teasing. It helps to build self confidence to interact with others which increases the chances of obtaining a meaningful relationship.
